Growing our marriage has a profound impact on our lives. Also on our kids lives. The boys LOVE to close their little eyes and yell, "EEWWWWWWWW, GROSSE keees!" It is the sweetest thing! The even sweeter part, they are usually requesting for us to kiss or just cutting to the chase and smashing our faces together to insinuate a kiss. Boys, i'm going to embarrass ya'll with my love for daddy always and forever. that. is. a. promise. I still remember the feeling of my heart being filled when my (now divorced) parents would show love to one another.
One of the coolest parts of moving especiallt with littles is seting out to try new places and spaces in your new area! We have made it a point to try out all sorts of restaurants. Honestly, I do not think we have eaten a single chain restaurant beyond Jett's Pizza that is also in Cincinnati.
Mama found a GEM inside Keystone Mall. They were on the tv shwo shark tank a while back! Well and because I consider myself a cookie connoseur, one should not pause and go by oneself a cookie. Better yet, go buy a 10 lb (i swear it was) cookie cake with a character of your choice on it! Blondie's has won my heart and my tummy. we will continue to scoop up random cookies and birthday treats here for years to come.
We discovered a donut favorite too! Jack's Donuts. They are TO DIE FOR. they even have a soft spot for the kiddos, or call it genius marketing, but they have Disney channel playing on a tv in their little shop. I have never sat so long with these boys in a restaurant. EVER. They even scribed a 4 on C's donut on his birthday! As you can tell by the photo these are very special donuts lol
We have ventured to the Indiana State Police Museum. This was pretty cool! It is small, and not so great for just a 2 yr old. But with a real cruiser to get into and play with all the buttons. It was still a hit! It was a makeup of 2 police cruisers cut in half, and put together, so there was a drivers and passenger side on conjoined in the middle. M showed off his siren noises. This boy can literally make your ears ring. We didn't stay too long, but we had fun nonetheless.
We also have a family YMCA pass now! Which means Cayden and Daddy (i volunteered him to be a coach)are now professional baseball players. It would only be appropriate to buy your new cleats thw day after sign ups even though season doesn't start for 2-3 more months. Darn longest months of this kids life. All he wants to do is wear his (handmedown) baseball pants and these super awesome cleats. Poor guy just hasn't had to experience getting "cleated" so every other day is a battle of WHY we CAN NOT wear our cleats to the store, to bed etc. I have however managed to teach him word for word the lyrics to "take me out to the ballgame". It melts my soul to see him so excited about something he has never done before. I have heard "Mom, you the BEST" and quite frankly i'm LOVING IT.
